Description
The arrangements are mostly for choir and therefore very well suited for trombone choirs. Some are already familiar from other publications, e.g. Hammerschmidt’s “Machet die Tore weit” (Open Wide the Gates). However, on closer inspection, it becomes apparent that the present version is significantly longer than the familiar ones. I first encountered this long version (also Hammerschmidt’s original) a few years ago as a choir singer and found the passages, which were new to me, absolutely worth performing.
