Im Jahr 2017 – dem Jahr des 500jährigen Reformationsjubiläums – vergab die Evangelische Kirche von Westfalen Kompositionsaufträge unter dem Motto „Dialoge 2017“. Inspiriert von Text, Form oder auch durch freie Assoziationen entstanden Kompositionen als „Dialog“ zu ausgewählten Kantaten von Johann Sebastian Bach. Die Komposition „Schlaf worden“ von Martin Wistinghausen steht im Dialog zu Joh. Seb. Bachs Kantate „Mit Fried und Freud ich fahr’ dahin“ BWV 125. UA: 5. In 2017 – the year of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation – the Evangelical Church of Westphalia commissioned compositions under the theme “Dialoge 2017” (Dialogues 2017). Inspired by texts, form or free association, these compositions were created in the form of a “dialogue” with selected cantatas by Johann Sebastian Bach. “Schlaf worden” by Martin Wistinghausen is in dialogue with Joh.
